UK Skilled Worker Visa from Pakistan

The Skilled Worker visa lets you come to or stay in the UK to do an eligible job with a Home Office approved employer (a licensed sponsor). You can stay for up to 5 years before you need to extend, and under current rules you may be able to apply to settle after 5 years.

Eligibility

A job offer from a UK employer approved by the Home Office

A certificate of sponsorship from your employer

A job in an eligible occupation

A salary of at least £41,700 a year or the going rate for your job, whichever is higher (lower rates can apply in some cases)

English at the required level

Skilled Worker visa fees (from outside the UK)

Documents required

Up to 3 years: £819 per person

Valid passport

More than 3 years: £1,618 per person

Certificate of sponsorship reference number

Lower fees apply if your job is on the Immigration Salary List

Proof of English language ability

Immigration Health Surcharge: usually £1,035 per year

Bank statements (if your employer does not certify maintenance)

You usually need at least £1,270 in savings unless your employer certifies maintenance

Tuberculosis test certificate (required for applicants from Pakistan)

Decisions usually take about 3 weeks from outside the UK.
