How to apply, step by step

1. Choose your program and get an offer of place from an approved New Zealand education provider.

2. Pay or arrange your tuition fees.

3. Prepare proof of funds for living costs, or a sponsor.

4. Arrange medical and travel insurance (not required for PhD students).

5. Complete medical checks, including a chest X-ray if required.

6. Apply online with Immigration New Zealand and pay the fee.

• Passport valid for at least 3 months after you plan to leave New Zealand

• Medical certificate and chest X-ray if required

• Offer of place and tuition fee evidence

• Police certificate if staying 24 months or more

• Proof of funds: bank statements, education loan or sponsorship
